Rectangular white paper card is marked with black text that reads "DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR / THE ALASKA RAILROAD / 1923 NO. 2S / PASS Mrs. Warren G. Harding / Wife of the President / of the United States." The pass bears the signature of Hubert Work, the secretary of the interior. Conditions of the pass are printed on the back of the pass.
